Recent Random Cambri Moments

Cambri loves bananas right now.

She went poopy in the potty for the first time and was so proud of herself.  We made a big deal of it and gave her a special graham cracker treat and took her picture.  She hasn't done it again since.

Bowling & Cousins

Cambri's first bowling trip was very fun.  She got to go with her cousins.  I think she and Kenley had more fun dancing than anything else but they each had a couple of turns pushing the ball down the ramp.  These pictures are not the greatest, both me and my camera aren't the greatest at actions shots, but you can get an idea of the fun we had!

I don't know anything about bowling form but Maryn looks pretty good if you ask me.

Kate: 3 Months

Our Kate is growing into such a fun baby.  She smiles so big, I forgot how much I love the toothless open mouth baby smiles.  She watches Cambri run circles around her (Cambri literally will run in circles around Kate as Kate is lying on the floor), and she looks at her big sister with such attention and wonder, they are going to be best buds.  Kate isn't really rolling over but she will get partially on her side and wiggles herself into new positions on the floor.  We love our little Kate!

Kate's Baby Blessing

Kate was blessed by her daddy today.  We did it during sacrament meeting with lots of family and friends there to support.  McKay gave a great blessing and I felt the spirit so strongly as he was giving the blessing.  We know we have a very strong but sweet little girl, we saw this during the first days of her life that she spent in the NICU.  She wasn't there very long in comparison to many children that spend time there and much of that is due to the fact that she fought so hard to recover so quickly.  She is a great little person to have in our home.

Kate: 2 Months

Our little girl is 2 months old and is growing so fast.  She is awake a lot more during the day and loves having her big sister around.  She really responds to our voices and can make some good eye contact.  She is just barely starting to smile every now and then.  She sleeps well, eats well and is attracted to light.   She makes little coo's that are so darling.  She still loves being held more than anything else and when she is awake she is a very wide eyed baby.  We love our little baby Kate!

Little Miss Independent

Cambri is so Independent these days.  She loves to do things herself and her favorite phrase is "Canny (how she says Cambri) do it".  She is so proud of herself when she does something new all by herself.  Sometimes she gets frustrated if she can't do something right the first time but she's good at continuing to try until she gets it.  The other day she wanted to put her shirt on herself and worked really hard to get it on.  She got it on with her head in the sleve or arm in the neck hole a few times.  She would get upset and then take it off and try again.  She finally got it on with all the limbs in the right holes but it was backwards and inside out.  She worked so hard and was so proud of herself for getting it that I couldn't fix it.  I just took some pictures instead.  She decided she wanted to make silly faces instead of giving me a good smile.

Rock a Bye Baby

Lately Cambri has been singing songs to herself.  She usually will just sing parts of songs we sing to her.  She gets some of it right and some of it not so right.  It's fun to hear her interpretation of the songs.  One of my favorite's is her interpretation of Rock a Bye Baby, she only does the first half of the song but it is so cute and funny.  She includes names of 2 of her family members, Pops (her grandpa) and Kado (her cousin).

Kate: 1 Month

I can't believe my itsy bitsy baby is already 1 month old.  She is starting to move her neck around a lot when she is awake.  She looks at everything and every one with the biggest eyes and she looks so fascinated by everything.  She loves to be cuddled and held and is very patient with all of her big sisters loving kisses pokes and maulings.  She's a total binky addict.  She eats well and sleeps well.  She does well going for rides in the car as long as the car is moving.  Her hair is so fluffy and poofy and sticks straight up.  She loves everyone and everyone loves her!

Best Sisters

I pulled out the camera to take some pictures of Kate and of course Cambri had to get in on the action.  Cambri loves her sister Kate.  Every morning when she wakes up she asks for Kate.  She is constantly wanting to hold her or kiss her.  She goes up to Kate and says "love you Kate" all the time.  She likes to help put Kate's binky in her mouth and for some reason she doesn't think Kate should wear socks because she takes her socks off about 20 times a day.

Easter 2013

Easter was the day after we brought Kate home from the hospital.  With Kate in the NICU and Cambri's birthday I actually totally forgot about Easter.  Lucky for me Aunt Marcia was on top of it and got Cambri a Dora the Explorer doll and matching dresses for the girls.  We had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Matheson and the rest of the family.  The kids got to do a few Easter egg hunts and we took some pictures of all the cousins in their pretty Easter outfits.
